Our Mission
At Memory Mates, we strive to bring joy to those living with Alzheimer’s, as well as family and friends of those affected by it. To do so, we aim to provide Companion Therapy Pets, lifelike, interactive stuffed animals which engage the owners directly, to every memory care facility we can across the United States.
Why Companion Therapy Pets?
These pets can help patients in a few ways: First, they lower levels of depression and anxiety in patients. Second, they increase patient stimulation, which leads to less falling. Lastly, the pets increase patient energy and interaction; both with each other and the staff. They do this by providing a calming presence that takes their owners back to a place where they cared so deeply about something.
